According to the principles and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan, the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs is one of the important and key departments in higher education institutions, which is responsible for implementing all academic and scientific programs and affairs within the institution. Due to the significance of this position, it was established simultaneously with the foundation of Muslim Institute of Higher Education. Structurally, all scientific programs are related to the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs, which oversees academic activities at the bachelor's level within the faculties and includes several departments.
The core responsibilities of the Vice Presidency include planning to enhance the level of education, managing research programs, monitoring and evaluating academic programs, implementing policies regarding the appointment of academic staff, proposing policy amendments, evaluating curriculum, contributing to community development, enhancing the capacity of academic staff, and providing practical work opportunities for students.
