Paraclinical Department

Paraclinical Department

Established in the academic year 1404 (2025), the Paraclinical Department functions as an academic division within the Faculty of Medicine. The majority of subjects within this department are considered basic medical sciences, focusing on the theoretical foundations that support the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases. The department includes subjects such as: pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, forensic medicine, physiology, biochemistry, immunology, and several other related fields.

During this phase, students gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as disease etiology, symptoms, laboratory diagnosis, mechanisms of drug action, side effects, and the immune system’s functions. These subjects are designed to prepare students for the clinical stage of their medical training.
